Fabio Paratici: Expert excited by ‘big boost’ for Tottenham after major update

Tottenham are set for a “big boost” with Fabio Paratici due to remain at the club amid speculation over his future.

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

The Athletic reported on Monday (14 March) Paratici remains committed to Tottenham and has not been approached by PSG.

This came after a report from Footmercato (12 March) that claimed PSG want to replace club director Leonardo with the Italian.

Paratici joined Tottenham in the summer of 2021 and has overseen the appointments of both Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.

Wenham is delighted to hear Paratici will be staying after a rocky start to his Spurs career.

“It’s really great news because Paratici came in for some unfair criticism early in his Tottenham career,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He has completely repaired his reputation after making the signings we did in January.

“Levy had been tracking Paratici for something like five years so there is no way he would let him go.

“He also has his number one manager target in Antonio Conte so he wants to keep the team together.

“I’m delighted Paratici is staying because he is a key member of the setup now, it’s a big boost.

“Those rumours being shot down are great to see.”

Spurs signed Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur in January.

However, summer signings Emerson Royal and Pierluigi Gollini have been questioned by Wenham.
