'It’s our job' – Stuart Armstrong makes admission about Celtic form

Stuart Armstrong has admitted that it is up to himself and his Celtic team-mates to battle back from a series of indifferent performances.
The Hoops played nine games in December, which saw them draw with Hibs and Rangers and lose their unbeaten record in shocking fashion, going down 4-0 to Hearts at Tynecastle.
The 25-year-old, who has struggled to replicate last season’s form, knows that the Bhoys can perform better than they have been in recent weeks.
“Teams come to Celtic Park, they sit in and are well organised”, he said, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“It’s not really for them to go and win the game, it’s for us to break through their organisation, be creative. That’s something we’ve incurred for many seasons.
“They are going to try new things and it’s our job to find the solutions.”
Celtic dominated the first-half of the goal less Old Firm derby, and both James Forrest and Scott Sinclair came close to giving the Hoops the lead.
The second-half was a different game completely though, as Rangers created the far better chances and Craig Gordon pulled off fine saves to deny James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos, with Morelos also missing a free header when it looked easier to score.
Despite the indifferent run of form, the Bhoys are still far clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table, as they lead Aberdeen by eight points and Rangers by 11 points.
The Hoops now head into their winter break, before returning on the  20th of January to take on Brechin in the Scottish Cup.
