‘Flashes of brilliance’, ‘Magic’ – Rangers fans react on Twitter to confirmed signing

Declan John completed a permanent move to Ibrox on Friday afternon – and the Rangers fans on Twitter were delighted with the announcement.

The Gers confirmed on their official website that the 22-year-old has made his loan deal from Cardiff a permanent one.

He has agreed a three and a half year contract with the Light Blues to keep him with the Scottish outfit until 2021 and has become an important player since joining in the summer.

Rangers supporters on social media are thrilled with the club’s confirmed signing, which took place on the same day they appointed Graeme Murty as their manager until the end of the season.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

John has impressed since he moved to the Gers this season on loan and has now become a full-time member of the squad.

The left-back has really thrived under Murty’s tenure and made the most of Lee Wallace’s injury absence.

He has become a mainstay in the starting XI in the full-back position and has already managed to get the fans on side with his impressive displays.

The Wales international is an attack-minded defender that likes to bomb down the left flank and has chipped in with two goals plus two assists in the final third for Rangers.

John will hope to continue his form moving forward and his side travel to Kilmarnock on Saturday afternoon for a league clash.
