‘From what I’m hearing’ – Liverpool, Arsenal and Man United trailing Premier League rival in race for Kenan Yildiz

Liverpool and Arsenal are trailing a Premier League rival in the race for Juventus star Kenan Yildiz.

The 20-year-old is seen as one of the brightest young stars in Europe so has gained a lot of attention from the top teams.

Yildiz moved from Bayern Munich to Juventus back in the summer of 2022, slowly cementing himself in as a key part of the squad.

This season, the Turkish international has started every single game for the Old Lady, grabbing six goal contributions in eight matches.

Kenan Yildiz likely to turn down Premier league offer

Chelsea are still interested in Yildiz, after having a £70million bid rejected by Juventus during the summer transfer window.

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes that if the Turkish forward is going anywhere, it will be to Stamford Bridge.

However, speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness revealed that, according to his sources, Yildiz will be staying at Juventus.

Wyness added that there is a small chance that he completes a summer switch to Chelsea, but it is more likely that he will remain in Italy.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I’m afraid I don’t think he’s going to go anywhere. I’ve talked to my sources down in Italy and they said no, he’s going to stay.

“If it he were to go to anybody, I don’t think it’d be Liverpool, I don’t think it’s going to be Arsenal. It could be Chelsea.

“That’s just another what-if, but I think it’s a small chance. I don’t think he’s going to be one who’s going to move this summer. He’s still going to be down at Juventus, and so I’m saying a no to that one from all I’m hearing.”

Man United also in the race for Yildiz

Last month, Football Insider exclusively revealed that Manchester United have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Yildiz.

However, the 20-year-old is content at the club and a huge bid for his services would be the only way of tempting Juventus from letting him go.

Man United signed Benjamin Sesko over the summer, with Chelsea bringing in Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

Both are still keeping tabs on the exciting young striker though, in case any opportunity becomes available.
