Gabriel Jesus expected to snub new Man City deal after what ‘I’ve seen’ – pundit
Alex McLeish has suggested Gabriel Jesus could push for a move out of Manchester City in pursuit of regular game time this summer.
The former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, admitted it would be tough for the 25-year-old to leave but that it would be for the good of his career.
Jesus is heading into the final 12 months of his contract this, with City knowing they risk losing him on a free in 2023.

As reported by TeamTalk (14 April), City have offered the striker a new deal but are waiting to hear from Jesus and his representatives.
However, McLeish suggested the Brazilian may snub the offer with a view to playing regularly elsewhere.
Asked if he thought Jesus would want to stay and sign a new contract, McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I don’t think he will.
“Deep down, all these guys want to play football. It will sometimes break their hearts to leave a great setup but they have to go and play.
“They get to a stage where they say: ‘That was a great time at City but I did well when I went away. I’ve had a good career.’
“Liverpool was one of his best games that I’ve seen in recent times. Maybe he’s not done that consistently enough. He played a really good game, if not his best game in the jersey. It looked like he was hungry.
“I would think that the guy would want to play more than he has been so far so. When you see him come in like that, you think: ‘Yeah, give him more of a chance.’“

Jesus has started 20 times in 32 appearances this season.
He has scored seven goals and contributed 10 assists across all competitions.
