Gary Lineker takes hilarious dig at Diego Costa during Chelsea win v Hull
By Harry Sykes
Diego Costa scored Chelsea’s first goal of the game in first-half injury time in their win against Hull, and Gary Lineker couldn’t resist taking a hilarious dig at the player on Twitter.
Costa returned to the Chelsea first team after missing the game against Premier League champions Leicester last Saturday, amid rumours about a bid from a mega-rich Chinese club.
It didn’t take the striker long to continue where he’s left off this season, scoring again for Chelsea and re-taking his spot at the top of the Premier League goal-scoring charts.
He’s now scored 15 in 20 Premier League games, the same as Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez.
However, with the China rumours still swirling around, and Chelsea reportedly putting a £130million price tag on Costa’s head Gary Lineker took a dig at the Spain international on his official Twitter account after he scored.
According to The Sun, Costa’s former team-mate Oscar has been persuading the striker to make the move to China in another mega-money move.
Oscar himself made a £60million move to Shanghai SIPG in January in the latest big-money transfer to the Chinese Super league that will see him earn over £500,000 a week.
At just 25-years-old, Oscar moved to China at the peak of his career, and it remains to be seen whether Costa will follow the money in the summer.
In other Chelsea news, Gary Cahill says the win against Tottenham was the most satisfying of his career.
