Gary Neville delivers verdict on Harry Kane, shares how long he will stay at Tottenham

By Amir Mir

Gary Neville has lauded Tottenham striker Harry Kane and stated that he believes he can become a player who scores a goal every game.

The Sky Sports pundit compared the Spurs ace to La Liga duo Luis Suarez and Cristiano Ronaldo and is convinced he can reach their level.

England international Kane has been in magnificent form this season as he hit a stunning 23-minute hat-trick against Stoke at the weekend.

It was the third time in nine games that the 23-year-old had scored three goals in a match after he previously did it against Fulham in the FA Cup and West Brom in the Premier League.

Kane, who was the top scorer in England’s top flight last season with 25 goals, has netted 42 goals in 59 league games since the start of last season.

By contrast, in Europe’s major leagues, Barcelona ace Suarez tops the list with 53 in 55, while Real Madrid’s Ronaldo is in fourth with 51 in 55.

This what Neville had to say about Kane who was ninth on that list.

“It puts him in incredible company and ultimately some of those clubs, some of those teams its probably easier to score goals, even though Tottenham have had an excellent 18 months,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“I think he is capable of getting to that one in one level. Like some of these players have a look at Luis Suarez at the top, Ibrahimovic, Ronaldo.

“Kane is beginning to achieve incredible numbers, so young and so much in front of him and he will be hugely sought after. Tottenham will keep him, they are very good in terms of their longer term contracts. He would be targeted by your Real Madrids and Manchester Uniteds, those types of clubs with huge cash.

“Tottenham will keep him, they are very good in terms of their longer term contracts. He would be targeted by your Real Madrid’s and Manchester United’s, those types of clubs with huge cash.

“But with Tottenham building the stadium that they are, with Pochettino there, the young team he has built it is critical they keep hold of Dele Alli and Kane. He is a dream of a player and a dream of a professional that any team would want.”

This season, Kane has scored 17 goals in 21 league games and 22 goals in all competitions, including two in three Champions League matches.

His numbers are even more impressive given the fact that he was injured for ten matches in all competitions earlier on in the campaign.

Kane’s goals during the previous season helped his club finish in third place. At this moment, they are in second, ten points behind leaders Chelsea.

In other Tottenham news, this attacking midfielder suffered an injury during a goal fest.
