Rangers fans have been calling on Murty to start Graham Dorrans in a more advanced midfield role and Gerrard may see that and decide to let Josh Windass leave and give the ex-West Brom midfielder more chances to attack.
Dorrans is struggling to get back to fitness and is being played way too deep by Murty, which is why his performances haven’t been great as of late.
He is just weeks away from a good rest though and pre-season training could see him recapture his form from the start of this campaign.
