Harry Kane delivers Twitter verdict after Tottenham win v Stoke
By Dominic Toner
Harry Kane revealed his delight on Twitter after Tottenham’s convincing win over Stoke on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs managed to record a comfortable 4-0 win in the Premier League at White Hart Lane, which helped them move up to second in the table.
Kane was at the centre of the attention after he scored a first-half hat-trick, while Dele Alli also got on the scoresheet.
The 23-year-old has now managed 22 goals this season across all competitions and continues to be the standout player for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
The England international believes that Spurs were “fantastic again” after picking up the three points against Stoke, as cited by his official Twitter account.
Kane managed to move level in the race for the Premier League’s golden boot as he has now netted 17 times.
He claimed the accolade last season for his 25 league goals and is certainly in the running once again.
He is set to play a major role as Spurs try to clinch a top four spot and they have managed to bounce back from the 2-0 defeat to Liverpool in their last league game.
Pochettino’s side have had a busy set of cup fixtures in recent weeks and will play League One Millwall in the FA Cup quarter-finals, but were dumped out of the Europa League by Belgian minnows Gent.
Spurs face Everton in their next league clash and Kane will hope to outperform opposite number Romelu Lukaku.
In other Tottenham news, the club’s player is miles away from being as good as Gareth Bale.
