‘He won’t take a pay cut’ – Man United star tipped to quit amid wage concerns
Ruben Amorim has been tipped to lose one of his star Manchester United players due to concerns over decreasing wages.
The Red Devils had a slow start to the campaign with Ruben Amorim coming under pressure in the opening months of the season.
However, five wins in their past eight games has seen Man United climb up to eighth in the Premier League, just two points adrift of second-place Manchester City
Despite the good form, Amorim’s side are still running into issues regarding player contracts, which could see some of their squad leaving.

Casemiro could quit Man United
Last month, Football Insider revealed that Man United are unlikely to trigger Casemiro’s one-year extension option unless he takes a wage cut.
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – doesn’t believe that the midfielder will be willing to decrease his pay.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness insisted that Casemiro is now likely to move on from Man United.
Wyness added that the 33-year-old is a key part of Amorim’s midfield, but will want one last big contract.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Casemiro is one who has reacted well to Amorim and certainly has been playing better. He is in better form and has been part of this, I wouldn’t call it a resurgence, but the sort of stability at United recently.
“But I don’t see him being one who would take a pay cut. I think he’s now at the stage where he wants to get that last contract. So I don’t think he’ll be staying with United.
“I think he may be one who will move on, and we’ll see Casemiro going. I think it’s the right time for him.”
Man United to lose another player for free
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund are keen to re-sign winger Jadon Sancho for a third time, sources have told Football Insider.

Sancho is currently on loan at Aston Villa from Man United but has yet to start a Premier League game for Unai Emery’s side this season.
The 25-year-old sees his contract at Old Trafford expire next summer and United are not expected to trigger the one-year extension clause in his current deal.
Sources say that Borussia Dortmund are interested in Sancho if he becomes available on a free transfer, but will not pay a fee for him.
