Heung-min Son set to explode at Tottenham as ‘brutal’ images emerge – pundit

Alan Hutton has insisted Antonio Conte was waiting for pre-season to “put down his philosophy” for the Tottenham players.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Spurs right-back said that a rigorous preseason will benefit Conte’s team when it comes to the start of the league.

On Monday (11 July) football.london journalist Alasdair Gold shared images of a “brutal” training session in Seoul which saw players, including Harry Kane, collapsing.

The London club are currently in South Korea for their preseason training camp.

Hutton claimed that the training sessions will continue to be difficult.

It’s not going to get any easier,” he told Football Insider.

“It’s probably going to stay like this but it will definitely benefit them when it comes to the start of the season when they’re in probably the best shape of their lives to go and really attack the League.

It definitely benefits you. It’s difficult at the time.

“I remember going away with Tottenham, obviously it was a few seasons ago, and you just remember the stifling heat, you could hardly get a breath and it started reminding me when I was there under Harry Redknapp and how difficult it was to train.

It definitely helps if you can push through that barrier. To see some of the players, experienced professionals not just young kids, it was the likes of [Heung-min] Son struggling, and he’s from there.

To see something like that, you know that it’s intense but this is what Antonio Conte was waiting for. He took over mid-season but he wanted this time to put down his philosophy, let the boys know exactly what it’s all about and he needs that intensity from them.
