Insider delivers Wallace fitness update after behind-closed doors Rangers v St Mirren clash

Lee Wallace has come through 90 minutes in the friendly game with St Mirren on Tuesday, according to a club insider.

The Four Lads Had a Dream blog is a very solid source of Rangers information and reported the news on Tuesday afternoon.

They also reported that Lee Hodson, Niko Krajcar, Edourado Herrera, Joe Dodoo and Fabio Cardoso had run-outs.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw with Michael O’Halloran getting the Rangers goal.

Football Insider verdict:

Graeme Murty arranged the behind-closed-doors game with St Mirren to get his players in peak condition for the Old Firm clash on Sunday and to give players like Lee Wallace a chance to provide his game fitness. The fact that he’s come through 90 minutes without aggravating his injury is great news, although it’s very likely the game was played at the sort of tempo and aggression that the game at Ibrox is going to inspire. However, Murty will now have a decision to make and could give Wallace a place on the bench for the clash v Celtic.
