Insider: Tottenham backed to sign Alessandro Bastoni after ‘meetings with agent’
Alessandro Bastoni could be lured to Tottenham with the promise of regular football.
That is according to Spurs expert John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.
According to The Sun (9 November), Tottenham remain keen on signing Bastoni, who they chased in the summer of 2022.

This site revealed on 25 May that Spurs identified the 23-year-old, as their first-choice left-sided centre-back ahead of the summer transfer window.
However, a deal was not completed and Spurs instead signed Clement Lenglet on loan from Barcelona.
Wenham can see Tottenham returning for Bastoni in January.
“Bastoni strikes me as the player Tottenham want,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“There was so much noise over the summer about how much we wanted him and I remember how staunchly Inter wanted to keep him.
“There were meetings between his agent and Inter Milan where I think the club gave him certain guarantees.
“I remember seeing images of him (Bastoni’s agent) walking out of the Inter Milan offices shaking hands saying his client would be going nowhere.
“He’s only started nine of their 15 league games this season and as far as I am aware he hasn’t been injured.
“We will have to see what happens. If Tottenham really want him then I’m fairly certain we can offer him a starting position, in a better league as well.”

Lenglet has made 14 total appearances for Spurs.
He started his new side’s last four league games before the World Cup break.
