Ipswich Town make move to sign ex-Rangers star Ryan Kent – sources
Ipswich Town have registered their interest in Fenerbahce midfielder Ryan Kent, sources have told Football Insider.
The former Rangers star is expected to depart Jose Mourinho’s team this summer after just one year at the Turkish outfit.
Football Insider previously revealed that new Fenerbahce boss has put Kent up for sale this summer.
That could open the door for Kent to make a return to England, and the newly promoted Premier League club are keen on a deal.
The 27-year-old joined Fenerbahce last summer on a four-year deal following his departure from Rangers.
Kent struggled for game time last season, appearing only eight times in the Turkish Super Lig.
Ipswich Town would benefit from an experienced winger
Even though Kent hasn’t gained many minutes for Fenerbahce, the winger would bring a lot of experience to Ipswich Town if he was to make the move.
Kent has played at the highest level with 130 Scottish Premiership appearances and 34 Europa League games under his belt.
During his time at Rangers Kent played 218 times in all competitions, scoring 33 goals and registering 56 assists.

He’s a versatile footballer who can play all across the frontline, which would give Kieran McKenna with plenty of options in how to use him.
Kent also has experience playing in England having played at Barnsley, Coventry City, and Bristol City earlier in his career.
