Jack Grealish signed up: Kieran Maguire makes ‘major’ claim as Man City go ‘all in’ with new deal
Man City have gotten “further into bed” with crypto sponsorship after striking a new partnership with OKX.
That is the opinion of finance expert Kieran Maguire, who spoke exclusively to Football Insider about Man City’s latest deal with the Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange.
OKX first partnered with City back in July to launch the club’s training kit for the 2022/23 season, and the two parties have solidified their relationship with another sponsorship deal.

The crypto company has launched a fan experience in the metaverse for Man City supporters.
Jack Grealish, Ruben Dias, Ilkay Gundogan and Alex Greenwood have all been signed up to the project, and fans that involve themselves with the metaverse experience will be greeted with special experiences designed around each player.
Man City’s latest financial reports showed the club’s revenue increased by £43.2million from the 2020/21 season, which the club attributes to rises in commercial and matchday revenues.
Maguire insists OKX will become a “major” sponsor for Man City, who remain keen on growing their presence in the crypto space.
“Man City are getting further into bed with crypto company OKX with this new deal, which suggests that the club do see it as a growth area,” Maguire told Football Insider.
“Therefore they are willing to go all in and commit some of the players to the deal as it sounds as though it will be a major sponsor.

“OKX were are also involved in the launch of City’s training kit and this could be part of a much broader deal between the two parties.
“City are looking to diversify their commercial portfolio with new sponsors and have achieved that with this partnership.“
