Jarrod Bowen: Liverpool tipped to sign West Ham star after ‘cheeky’ hint paves the way for deal

Jurgen Klopp was “cheeky” to heap praise on Jarrod Bowen in a clear hint he is a potential Liverpool signing.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about Bowen’s possible exit this summer.

As quoted by the Daily Mail (4 March) Klopp hailed Bowen as “unbelievable” ahead of last weekend’s game between Liverpool and West Ham.

West Ham

As revealed by Football Insider on 13 January, Liverpool are continuing to keep close tabs on his performances ahead of a potential summer move.

Kenny claims Klopp’s praise was a deliberate hint towards Liverpool’s plan to move for Bowen.

“It’s cheeky from Klopp,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He knows exactly what he’s doing there, I think. He would be a brilliant signing.

“He has shown he is a quality player and you can see why Liverpool want to sign him.

“I know West Ham are doing well but would you turn down Liverpool at the moment?

“I don’t think I would. It’s the same with any of those clubs who are always in the Champions League, you would join them.

“West Ham seem to have dropped off a bit in the last few weeks so maybe Bowen saw Liverpool and thought he woudl prefer to be there.

“I just think if Liverpool come in for him then he will be gone.”

Bowen has scored 12 goals in 39 outings for West Ham this season.

He has aldo registered 11 assists.
