Jarrod Bowen: ‘West Ham need to pull out all the stops’ after contract talks update – former manager
West Ham “need to pull out all the stops” to tie Jarrod Bowen down to a new contract, according to Alex McLeish.
The former Scotland manager, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insisted the 25-year-old looks happy in east London but is a “valuable asset” the Irons cannot afford to lose.
As reported by the Evening Standard on Tuesday (15 February), West Ham are plotting to open contract talks with Bowen this summer.

The Hammers are reportedly keen to reward the winger for his form amid interest from Liverpool.
Football Insider revealed last month (13 January) the Reds are “hot” on the West Ham star and are keeping close tabs on his performances ahead of the summer.
McLeish suggested the Irons need to give Bowen whatever they can to convince him to commit his future at the London Stadium.
“West Ham need to pull out all the stops,” McLeish told Football Insider’s Russell Edge.
“But I think Bowen’s happy at that club. He is a superb footballer, I love watching him. When he was at Hull City, the lovely left peg, they call it the wand. A magic, left foot wand.
“Bowen has given us many moments. From dribbling past people, good movement and obviously his tremendous finishing and goal-scoring prowess.
“That’s massive in a forward. He’s a valuable asset. For me, losing somebody like him would be losing a big chunk of their team.”
Bowen’s current contract runs until the summer of 2025.
He has scored 12 goals and contributed 11 assists for West Ham this season.
