Johnny Kenny will surely be on his way out of Celtic this summer transfer window.

The striker is currently on loan to Bolton Wanderers after struggling in the first half of the current campaign at the Hoops.

However, in League One, the 22-year-old has shone and has netted six goals in the third tier to date.

This has led to suggestions that Kenny could play a part in the first team next season once more.

Yet, with Celtic now linked with Barney Stewart from Falkirk, this seems increasingly unlikely.

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Stewart is on Celtic’s radar this summer transfer window.

The 22-year-old striker has netted eight times in 16 Scottish Premiership appearances this campaign, and clearly has potential.

Celtic view a new striker as a priority this summer, but will face competition from other English clubs for the attacker, who may look to make a move.

As a result, if Celtic were to bring him in, he could prove to be an excellent option from the bench as he develops into a top striker.

However, if the deal goes through, it will likely restrict Kenny to little to no game time at the Hoops for the 2026-27 campaign.

Therefore, a summer departure feels inevitable, especially with the youngster continuing to shine in England.

This could allow Celtic to then direct funds elsewhere, with plenty of additions needed in the squad in order to get it back up to standard.

Football Insider has exclusively revealed that Celtic have the chance to sign Tawanda Maswanhise this summer.

The Motherwell striker has been one of the best players in the Scottish Premiership this season, and currently tops the goalscoring charts.

The Zimbabwean striker has shown some fine form under Jens Berthel Askou, with several clubs registering an interest in his services ahead of the summer.

Now, Celtic may be able to bring in the attacker, with the Steelmen open to selling him for a sizeable figure.

However, it remains to be seen who wins the race for Maswanhise, with the attacker not short of potential suitors ahead of the summer transfer window.
