Jorgen Strand Larsen jets in for Wolves medical as deal agreed – sources
Jorgen Strand Larsen is set to undergo a medical at Wolves after agreeing a move from Celta Vigo, sources have told Football Insider.
The Premier League outfit have agreed to an initial loan deal with a £25million option to buy the forward at the end of the season.
Larsen, 24, has packed his bags ready to jet into the UK, where he will complete the formalities of his transfer at Wolves’ training ground.
He scored 13 goals in 37 La Liga appearances with Vigo last season and is capable of playing across the front three, impressing the transfer chiefs at Molineux.
Jorgen Strand Larsen set for Wolves medical after loan agreement
Larsen moved to the Spanish club from Groningen in 2022 for a fee of £10.5million and has scored 18 goals in 73 games since his arrival.
He has also represented the Norwegian national team on 14 occasions since his senior debut in 2020, scoring three goals and often playing on the wing to accommodate Erling Haaland.
As things stand, the forward has four years remaining on his deal with Celta Vigo – three by the time the loan spell ends – resulting in an increased price tag.
Larsen’s versatility to play across the front line, and at just 24 years old, represents a similar option to the likes of Hwang Hee-chan and Matheus Cunha, with Gary O’Neil looking to establish a fluid front three.

A loan deal with an option to buy suits Wolves in their current financial situation given the threat of profit and sustainability infringements.
Former Everton CEO Keith Wyness told Football Insider that Wolves would look to bring younger talent to Molineux this summer as a result of the financial concerns.
