Jose Mourinho could rejoin Chelsea and bring £65m star with him – ‘I’ve heard whispers’, says pundit
Frank McAvennie believes Tammy Abraham could return to Chelsea and Jose Mourinho may follow him back to the Premier League.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker insists he has heard whispers about Mourinho wanting to return to England following his stint with Roma.
Football Insider sources revealed on Monday (27 February) that Chelsea are weighing up a move to bring Roma striker Tammy Abraham back to the club this summer.

The 25-year-old spent five years with the Chelsea first team after graduating from the club’s academy, before making a £34million move to Roma in 2021.
Abraham has shone in the Italian capital since his move, scoring 34 goals and assisting 10 times for Roma in his 86 appearances across all competitions.
McAvennie believes Abraham would be the first-choice striker at Stamford Bridge if he returned, but believes that Mourinho could be joining him on the flight back to England.
“They have that option to bring Abraham back for around £65million and he’d be the first-choice striker at Stamford Bridge,” McAvennie told Football Insider.
“He’s doing well in Italy with Roma and with Jose Mourinho.
“And I wouldn’t rule out Mourinho coming back to the Premier League too, that could be interesting to keep an eye on.

“I just have the feeling that he’s had enough in Italy.
“I’ve heard whispers that he wants a way back to the Premier League.“
