Josip Juranovic exit may now be imminent after Celtic source’s reveal – McAvennie
Frank McAvennie has claimed that the pursuit of George Baldock may well mean Josip Juranovic will leave Celtic this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Hoops striker said that Ange Postecoglou is unlikely to go into 2022-23 with three right-backs on the books.
A Celtic source told this site last Thursday (7 July) that they are lining up a move for Baldock, 29, from Sheffield United.

It is understood that the Scottish champions are putting contingency plans in place in case Juranovic leaves this summer, with Atletico Madrid interested in the player.
The Croatian international has four years left on his contract at Parkhead after signing for the club in August last year.
When asked if signing Baldock could pave the way for Juranovic’s exit, McAvennie told Football Insider: “I don’t think they’ll want three right-backs.
“I could be wrong, I got it wrong last year about Anthony Ralston – I didn’t think he would make it.
“This manager has brought a new life to Ralston so I don’t know if he’d want another one in because him and Juranovic can swap over.
“But to bring in a third player, the writing would be on the wall – I don’t know if it would be for Juranovic or Tony. I don’t think Ralston would want to leave Celtic.

“How are three of them going to get game time? I don’t know.
“In a team like Celtic there’s rumours going about all the time about buying players. They need to get someone out the door first.”
