Jude Bellingham told to sign for Liverpool after source’s reveal – ‘all of a sudden’, says pundit
Frank McAvennie has told Jude Bellingham to join Liverpool “if he has a brain”.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker said Bellingham will choose the Reds over Man City or Man United.
On 1 October, sources told this site that Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold have urged the 19-year-old to join them next year during their recent England international camp.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have held extensive talks behind the scenes with the player’s camp and are confident they have laid the groundwork to a potential deal next year.
Bellingham currently has three years remaining on his Borussia Dortmund contract.
The Reds are joined by Premier League rivals Man City, Man United, and Chelsea in their interest in the midfielder.
But McAvennie insisted the Merseysiders will win the race to sign the Dortmund star.
“I think they’re going to get Bellingham,” he told Football Insider.
“He is not going to go to Man United. He won’t get a game at Man City, they are spoilt for choice. He will be fighting with everyone else, which could be a good thing.

“If he goes to Liverpool he is in there every week and that is the way he plays, that style. Liverpool would suit him better. If he has got a decent agent and if he has a brain then he will go to Liverpool. That is the team that would complement him the most.
“I like players that go abroad and you don’t hear from them for a couple of years and then all of a sudden they are world beaters. He has got his head down and could come back one of the biggest players in England. I like the way he plays as well. I am just disappointed he is not Scottish because it is only good for England.“
