Justin Kluivert sends emotional message as Bournemouth exit confirmed
Andoni Iraola has lost one of his biggest names at the Vitality Stadium, and Justin Kluivert has made his feelings clear.
Bournemouth added Fraser Forster to the squad on a free transfer as the Cherries’ only piece of business during the January transfer window, but a new move has now been made on the south coast.
Iraola lost multiple players during the summer, with Milos Kerkez joining Liverpool, while Dean Huijsen, Illia Zabarnyi, and Dango Ouattara all found new homes away from the Vitality.
However, most of the talk has been about the future of Antoine Semenyo, who has been the subject of a huge transfer battle amongst Premier League rivals, and a winner has finally been announced.
Man City have secured Semenyo’s signature on a five-and-a-half-year deal, signing him on a £64million ahead of the second half of the 2025-26 campaign.

Antoine Semenyo signs off on Bournemouth exit
Taking to Instagram (9 January) after the confirmation of his transfer, Semenyo wrote: “My time at Bournemouth. Where do I even begin? Family. Growth. Memories I’ll cherish forever.
“Thank you to everyone who made the journey so special,” with Kluivert getting very emotional, commenting, “Great guy, great player. Wish you all the best, brother,” with heart and prayer emojis.
Daniel Jebbison also responded with a clapping emoji, with the likes of Everton‘s Iliman Ndiaye and Chelsea‘s Reece James liking the star’s farewell message.

Supporters from across the Premier League have been expecting a deal to be struck by the Citizens, and that has now been completed, just a number of days into the January transfer window.
How much will Semenyo earn at Man City?
From playing for the Cherries to now featuring under one of the best managers to grace the Premier League, there is no doubt that his wage is about to skyrocket.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, Stefan Borson revealed that Semenyo is likely to earn north of £200,000-a-week at Man City, possibly seeing him earn £10million during his entire contract.
That is, if the Citizens continue to perform at their very best over the next few seasons, battling for silverware and rising back to the top of the Premier League table.
Of course, signing Semenyo is part of the plan to keep up their winning ways in the top tier of English football, with the 26-year-old joining a star-studded lineup in Manchester.
He will be playing alongside the likes of Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, Jeremy Doku, and Rayan Cherki, and while he will have to fight for his spot in the team, it is an extremely exciting time in his career.
