Kalvin Phillips value is about to skyrocket after ‘brilliant’ Leeds United move – pundit
Kalvin Phillips could still leave Leeds United this summer despite his desire to sign a new contract.
That’s according to former Whites stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the midfielder’s future.
David Anderson of The Mirror reported on Wednesday (30 March) that Phillips has told the Leeds board he wants to sign a new deal.

The 26-year-old is contracted to 2024 but he has been heavily linked with a move away from Elland Road this summer.
Kenny fears Phillips could still leave even if he agrees a new long-term deal.
“It’s brilliant for everyone if Phillips does sign a new deal,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“The only thing do me is, it doesn’t mean he’s staying. What it does mean is Leeds can demand absolute top dollar of him.
“If you add a couple of years onto the deal he already has then his value goes up so much.
“I’m sure there will be interest in him and Leeds want to protect themselves.
“They need money to rebuild if a few key players end up leaving this summer.
“I just don’t think this means Phillips is going to stay at Leeds forever.
“It does mean they can demand the best deal possible though, which is ideal for everyone.”

A West Ham source told Football Insider on 21 March the club are preparing to make a fresh bid for Phillips this summer.
The Irons are planning to offer an enormous salary to the player as well as more than £50m to Leeds as they look to make a signing that can cement the club in the top six.
