
Karl Darlow ‘to start’ for Leeds against Sheffield United – fans react
Leeds United fans are demanding that Daniel Farke starts Karl Darlow against Sheffield United on Friday after his performance for Wales.
The 34-year-old shot-stopper was selected to start for Wales in their Nations League fixture against Montenegro on Monday (14 October), and he impressed people with his performance.
Craig Bellamy’s team won the game 1-0 through a Harry Wilson game, with the Leeds goalkeeper managing to keep a clean sheet as he made the most of the opportunity.
This has led to calls from Leeds fans for him to start at club level on Friday night when they compete against Sheffield United in an important derby fixture.
Karl Darlow could start for Leeds following Illan Meslier’s error
The former Newcastle United goalkeeper joined the Whites in July 2023, but he has remained the backup option for Meslier throughout his stint at Elland Road.
Darlow’s only appearance this season came in the EFL Cup, with the Wales international having only played five times since moving to Yorkshire.
