Keith Wyness shares verdict on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall completing Everton January move

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall will not be leaving Everton in the January transfer window just five months into his time on Merseyside.

That is according to ex-Everton, Aston Villa, and Aberdeen chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who believes Everton players are “happy” under David Moyes.

Dewsbury-Hall joined Everton from Chelsea in the summer transfer window, and has been one of Moyes’ key players this season.

Everton’s 4-2 defeat against Brentford means the Toffees are sitting in mid-table, with Dewsbury-Hall having missed the last four games due to injury.

Everton ‘happy with David Moyes project’

Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – does not foresee Dewsbury-Hall departing Everton in January.

Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness believes there is “something special” happening at the club.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “I don’t think they’ll be concerned about any interest. I think they’re all happy with the project that Moyes is doing, the new stadium, the whole thing.

They all feel part of something special at the moment. And I think there’s a real bonding that’s happening between the squad right now, a couple of additions, and I think they’re going to be happy.

“Everybody knows that there have been issues up front, lack of goals, but I think the midfield group are very solid, and I think as long as they try and stay injury free, which has always been the recent issue, then we’re going to be okay. But no, I don’t think he’s going to be going anywhere either. I think this is a pretty solid squad that loves working for Moyes.”

Wolves set price tag on Everton target

Wolves’ £40million price tag on Jorgen Strand Larsen could be too much for Everton, despite their need for a striker.

A loan to buy option has not been ruled out, but Moyes could look elsewhere to add more goals to his squad.

The Toffees have scored just 22 goals in 20 Premier League games this season, with Dewsbury-Hall their joint top scorer on four.
