Leandro Trossard posts ‘incredible’ message after Arsenal fans destroy him
Leandro Trossard responded to Arsenal supporters despite criticism over a recent update on his future at the club.
Arsenal battled back to secure a 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield, salvaging a point after going two goals down in the first half.
Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz struck early for the hosts, but the Gunners responded after the break. Trossard delivered a perfectly placed cross for Gabriel Martinelli to head home, before Mikel Merino levelled the score by reacting quickest to Martin Odegaard’s saved effort.
Despite the Belgian’s contribution, reports that Arsenal are preparing to extend his contract have sparked frustration among sections of the fanbase, with some Arsenal supporters calling for Trossard to be sold.
Still, the winger remained composed and sent a message to fans after the result, choosing to focus on the positives despite the ongoing speculation.
Arsenal set to offer Leandro Trossard new deal amid Saudi transfer interest
Trossard had a message for the supporters on Instagram, posting: “Fighting spirit. Incredible support from our fans.”
The post drew plenty of engagement from his teammates, with Declan Rice, captain Martin Odegaard and William Saliba all showing their support by liking the message.
The Belgian has taken on a more significant role in Mikel Arteta’s side this season, especially following injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz. His versatility has seen him used both as a central forward and out wide on the left, contributing consistently throughout the campaign.
Football Insider revealed Arsenal are now in advanced talks to hand Trossard a new four-year contract. With his current deal set to enter its final 12 months in June, the Gunners are keen to secure his future.
Saudi Pro League clubs remain interested in Trossard and are expected to revisit their attempts to sign him in the upcoming transfer window but Arsenal appear determined to keep hold of the forward.
He has made 54 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 10 goals and registering nine assists – a return that highlights his growing influence in the squad.

Arsenal tipped to move for Rodrygo amid attacking overhaul
Despite plans to extend Trossard’s stay, the Gunners are expected to be active in the transfer market this summer, with a focus on bolstering their forward line.
Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has urged Arsenal to pursue Real Madrid star Rodrygo, should the Brazilian become available.
However, Arsenal would face stiff competition for the 24-year-old, with both Manchester City and Liverpool previously linked with the winger.
With an attacking overhaul potentially on the cards, Rodrygo could fit the profile of player Arteta is looking for as he continues to build depth and quality in key areas of the pitch.
