Two 19-year-olds start, big-money man benched: Leeds expected XI v Sunderland
Goalkeeper and Defence
Bailey Peacock-Farrell (Goalkeeper) – Has performed heroics since he was brought in and should continue between the sticks. He’ll be the Leeds number one next season at this rate.
Stuart Dallas (Right-back) – With the injury problems, Dallas is likely to continue in the right-side of defence on Saturday.
Pontus Jansson (Centre-back) – The Swedish powerhouse is a mainstay in the Leeds side and talking in Thursday’s press conference he committed his future to the club for next season. That’s great news and he should be made captain.
Gaetano Berardi (Centre-back) – Despite the talk in the press conference, it’s too soon to plunge young Paudie O’Connor in to the first team. He’ll start from the bench on Saturday but will get his big chance, possibly in the second half.
Tom Pearce (Left-back) – Pearce, 19, will be expected to come into the defence for his second start, with Berardi moving into the centre.
