Leeds expected starting XI v Sheffield United: January signing on the bench, fan fave starts

Felix Wiedwald (Goalkeeper) – Heckingbottom is not going to cause a massive stir by dropping the Leeds number one, who has had a decent season. His only alternative is Andy Lonergan, who is still smarting from not getting a move this summer.
Vurno Anita (Right-back) – With Gaetano Berardi the latest Leeds player to get sent off, Anita will have to come back and play at right-back on Saturday.
Matthew Pennington (Centre-back) – Has suffered with injuries at Leeds this season but will get a run in the team now. Leeds were looking at making a permanent move for him in the summer so he will be desperate to prove to new man Heckingbottom that he deserves his place.
Pontus Jansson (Centre-back) – Heckingbottom confirmed that the Leeds enforcer and talisman would be back for the game against Sheffield United. Talking in his pre-match press conference he said that Jansson would be fit and he should go straight back into the side.
Laurens de Bock (Left-back) – One of the new January recruits that is yet to wow fans but he looks a solid option at the back. Not that Heckingbottom has many of those in his defence at the moment.
