Leeds fans react to Alioski display in defeat against Sheffield Wednesday

Leeds United fans took to Twitter to criticise Ezgjan Alioski in the wake of their 3-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday on Sunday.

The summer signing was named in the starting XI for the 10th time in Leeds’ 11 league fixtures this season even though manager Thomas Christiansen made four changes to the side that lost 3-1 to Cardiff in midweek.

But the Macedonia international lasted 62 minutes for the second match in succession as he struggled to make an impact before making way.

A Gary Hooper double and a Kieran Lee strike secured the win for the home side as they stopped Leeds from climbing above fourth spot in the table.

Leeds fans delivered critical verdicts of Alioski, with many claiming he deserves to be dropped after a string of mediocre displays.

Alioski has been used on the right wing since joining from Swiss side Lugano in the summer for a fee of around £1.5million.

In 13 matches in all competitions for Leeds, the attacker has scored one goal and supplied three assists.
