Leeds player ratings in win v Burton: Star trio lack quality with 5/10 displays

Substitutes

Pierre-michel Lasogga – 5: Given just over 15 minutes to prove himself after his recent injury layoff. His first involvement showed his lack of movement up front, Pablo Hernandez playing a through ball for the German to chase, which was never going to happen. For a big man, he does not win many headers either.

Kalvin Phillips – 6: Dropped to the bench after being hooked at half time during the win over Hull City, he was brought on in place of Ronaldo Vieira with 13 minutes left to play. Did exactly what would have been expected of him, making some good tackles to help break up Burton’s attacks and prevent the equaliser.

Matthew Pennington- N/A – Replaced Alioski with just added time left to play, didn’t have time to make a difference.

In other Leeds United news, the club should forget Matthew Pennington and focus on signing this Premier League stalwart available for a bargain.
