26-year-old has played last game – Three things we learned about Leeds from 1-1 v Sunderland

1. The youth is strong with Heckingbottom

Paul Heckingbottom isn’t scared to blood his youth players but there’s something fairly confusing about who and when. Fans have been calling for Sam Dalby and Jack Clarke who have been tearing it up for the Under-23s. Instead, he said pre-match that Ryan Edmondson, the Under-18 striker would get a chance before the end of the season, and he stuck another Under-18 player, Callum Nicell, on the bench today. Perhaps he knows something the Leeds fans don’t but that seems rather odd. On the pitch today, Paudie O’Connor proved that he’s good enough to at least stake a regular place on the bench. The young players are the one shining light from this season, but what’s wrong with Dalby and Clarke?
