Leeds told to sign ‘ridiculous talent with no injuries’ after Hay’s January reveal – pundit
Paddy Kenny claims Leeds United need to sign at least three players in January if they are to avoid the drop.
The former Whites stopper, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, insists the arrival of one midfielder isn’t enough.
The Athletic‘s Phil Hay revealed (22 December) that he expects at least one signing to arrive in the mid-season window.

He added that a midfielder will likely by the priority given previous failed moves for Michael Cuisance, Conor Gallagher and Lewis O’Brien.
A Leeds source told Football Insider (16 December) that the club are continuing to keep tabs on Reading’s John Swift.
“Leeds are always looking to progress,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“They have plans to bring players in, the right players, players who will boost the squad.
“But because of the way this season has gone, their hand has been forced.
“Leeds desperately need new faces in January. A midfielder is great but where are the rest?
“They need three or four players to not only stay up but to progress up the table and to keep improving.
“I would be very surprised if Leeds only made one signing. I think three at a bare minimum.
“Hopefully this midfielder, whoever he is, is some sort of ridiculous talent with no injuries to speak of.”

Marcelo Bielsa’s side are 16th and five points above the relegation zone but have played three games more than 18th-placed Burnley.
Their trip to Liverpool on Boxing Day has been postponed.
