Leeds United backed to sign Che Adams ‘ASAP’ after source’s reveal – expert
Che Adams would provide vital competition for Patrick Bamford if he joins Leeds United this summer.
That’s according to ex-Whites stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about his former side’s attempts to sign a new striker.
On Thursday (4 August) Football Insider revealed Nottingham Forest have opened talks with Southampton to sign Adams.

Leeds have also registered their interest in landing the forward in this summer’s window after having a near-£20million bid rejected in January 2020.
Kenny insists his former side need another stiker through the door as soon as possible.

“It will be interesting to see if they can ge him in. Leeds need to strengthen, they need a striker. Leeds struggled for goals last season and only just stayed up.
“If Adams comes in then it will also give Bamford a bit of competition and that is never a bad thing.
“He’s a Scottish international, he guarentees you goals, he is Premier League proven so I think it would be a decent signing.
“We know Leeds need a striker as soon as possible so maybe this is one that will happen.”

Leeds meanwhile are looking for support for their chief goalscorer Patrick Bamford, who they hope can stay fit in the coming season after an injury-riddled 2021-22.
Adams scored seven goals in 30 2021-22 Premier League games.
