Leeds United fans will be ‘devastated’ if Kalvin Phillips signs for Man United after new twist
Leeds United star Kalvin Phillips may be unable to turn down a move to Man United this summer.
That’s according to former Whites stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the midfielder’s future.
As reported by Manchester Evening News (7 April), Man United are “working on” a move for Phillips, 26, this summer.

The Leeds midfielder is contracted until 2024 but David Anderson of The Mirror reported on 30 March that Phillips has told the Leeds board he wants to sign a new deal.
Despite the rivalry between Leeds and Man United, Kenny insists Phillips would make the move.
“He’s Leeds through and through but we saw that with Jack Grealish didn’t we?” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“He’s Villa through and through but he decided to sign for Manchester City last summer.
“If an offer like that comes in, it might never come again. Can you afford to say no?
“It’s like Lampard at Chelsea. He didn’t know if it was going to work out but that offer might not come again, you have to take it.
“It will be interesting to see if this move happens. The fans will be devastated if he does go.
“As a player, you have to look to the future and Leeds are a big club but Man United are one of the biggest in the world.
“It’s a difficult one to turn down, that’s for sure.”

A West Ham source told Football Insider on 21 March they are another club preparing to make a bid for Phillips this summer.
He has made 16 appearances in all competitions this season.
