
Bielsa will flood Leeds first team with ‘new faces’ after £100m reveal – Campbell
Marcelo Bielsa will flood the Leeds United first team with “new faces” from the club’s exceptional youth academy this season.
So says ex-Premier League hitman Kevin Campbell, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the Whites’ youngsters’ prospects for 2021-22.
This site revealed on 2 September that Leeds rejected interest from several EFL and foreign clubs for Crysencio Summerville, 19, during the summer.

A Leeds source told Football Insider that Bielsa has big plans for the forward and was therefore unwilling to let him go.

But Campbell claims that the Whites can “save a fortune” if they continue to blood top young talent.
“One of Bielsa’s M.Os is to develop and inject youth into the club,” he told Football Insider assistant editor Dylan Childs.
“That will save the club a fortune. You can’t compete with the wages that are going around these days. It’s astronomical.
“What they can do, as we know, is develop players. Bielsa isn’t afraid to put players in no matter how young they are.
“He must have another few youngsters coming through that he really rates. So I think we’re going to see some new faces at Leeds at times this season.”

Leeds under-23 side were crowned Premier League 2 Division Two champions last term.
They were subsequently promoted and have won two of three fixtures in the Premier League 2 Division One this season.
