Leicester City fans rage as ’embarrassing’ nightclub footage emerges
Leicester City supporters have branded their squad as “a joke” after footage of them celebrating and partying in a Danish nightclub emerged just hours after they were defeated 2-1 by Chelsea.
Goals from Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez secured all three points for the Blues, with Jordan Ayew’s 95th-minute penalty being Leicester’s only shot on target throughout the entire fixture.
The result would ultimately cost Steve Cooper his job as the club sacked him on Sunday (24 November), but players were spotted partying near a sign that said ‘Enzo I miss you,’ in a nod to their former boss.
Several Leicester players, including Harry Wink and Conor Coady, were spotted enjoying themselves in Museo nightclub in a moment that has infuriated supporters.
SunSport has reported that the Foxes stars were enjoying themselves at their Christmas party, despite the squad being 16th in the Premier League table and just one point above the relegation zone.
Leicester will be back in action on Saturday (30 November) against Brentford, but it remains to be seen who will be taking charge of the team for that game after Cooper’s sacking.
Leicester City fans believe their players are “absolutely pathetic”
However, Foxes fans have now turned their attention toward the players for their own behaviour in the aftermath of the Chelsea defeat.
Supports have claimed their decision to go and party showcases a “total lack of class” while others claimed their behaviour was “disgraceful.”
