Liverpool are flexing muscles as two new signings all but done – expert
Liverpool are not taking a risk as they look to spend upwards of £60million on Darwin Nunez.
That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider as the Reds look to sign a new forward.
A recruitment source told Football Insider on Thursday (9 June) that Benfica star Nunez is pushing to complete a move to Anfield within days, with the clubs in advanced talks over a deal worth £60million plus add-ons.

This site revealed on Wednesday the Merseysiders are also putting the finishing touches to the capture of right-back Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen.
With Liverpool set to spend big on his replacement, Kenny insists the signing of Nunez is not a risk.
“Any signing is risky but Liverpool seem to get these signings right,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.
“They have a good scouting system as well. Obviously, it is a lot of money for a 22-year-old.
“But, listen, he has some ability, doesn’t he? It’s one of them, Liverpool are strengthening their squad while flexing their muscles in the transfer market.
“They know they need to push on and keep improving to take the Premier League back from Man City.“

Nunez netted 34 times in 41 appearances for Benfica during the 2021/22 campaign.
Meanwhile, Sadio Mane’s future is in doubt as he heads into the final year of his Anfield contract.
