Liverpool fans react on Twitter to Lallana display for England v Germany
By Dominic Toner
Adam Lallana played 66 minutes for England on Wednesday night – and the Liverpool fans praised his performance on Twitter.
The 28-year-old was unable to help Gareth Southgate’s side suffer a 1-0 defeat in the international friendly, but the nation will be encouraged by a good performance by England in Dortmund.
Lallana played in an attacking set-up alongside Dele Alli and Jamie Vardy, and showed some real moments of quality.
The Liverpool playmaker went extremely close to scoring in the first-half as his left footed shot ricocheted off the post.
The Reds fans highlighted the technical skill of their player Lallana and believe he made a great impact in Germany.
Here is a selection of their messages on Twitter:

England used an experimental 3-4-3 formation against Germany in the friendly and Southgate will have learned a lot more about his options.
They now turn their attention to an important World Cup qualifier against Lithuania on Sunday at Wembley.
Lallana surely has a great chance of starting that match after impressing for England and he has also been in great form for his club side this season.
The attacking midfielder has made 31 appearances this campaign for the Merseyside club, scoring seven goals and supplying seven assists.
He has become a crucial player for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool and is set to play a big role in their bid for a top four finish in the Premier League when domestic football resumes.
In other Liverpool news, the club’s 21-year-old is looking to emulate an Everton ace.
