Liverpool handed ‘huge’ Jude Bellingham boost after source’s reveal – pundit

Frank McAvennie has suggested Jude Bellingham could stay at Borussia Dortmund next season in what would be a huge boost to Liverpool.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker said Bellingham will be “happy” to stay where he is for next season and move after the 2023-24 season.

On Sunday (16 April), sources told this site that City are ready and waiting to submit a transfer offer for the 19-year-old this summer.

The Premier League giants have made the England international a top target and are prepared to offer a financial package worth well over £100million.

Liverpool had been frontrunners to land the teenage sensation but have now ruled themselves out of the running given the price a potential deal could cost.

Dortmund are also believed to be in negotiations with the midfielder over a new contract and a deal remains on the table if Bellingham chooses to stay in Germany.

McAvennie wouldn’t be surprised if Bellingham doesn’t move this summer, and that would bring Liverpool back into the running in 2024.

I think he would be happy to just stay where he is,” he told Football Insider.

I think he is enjoying it. He is establishing himself.

I think Birmingham will be wanting him to be sold, they will be the ones that want that deal to happen more than anyone.

Man City

If he doesn’t go this year he will go next year and that would be huge for Liverpool.

He has gone to Germany, established himself, is the captain. For such a young guy he has got a very mature head on his shoulders.

In other news, Man City block two stars signing for giants.
