Liverpool must accept ‘huge Mohamed Salah bid’ that’s on the way
Liverpool are set to undergo a massive overhaul in the summer, led by the exit of long-serving manager Jurgen Klopp.
The boss is certain to be followed by at least one senior star as the Anfield chiefs look to usher in a new era on Merseyside.
And given his latest struggles in red, Mohamed Salah looks increasingly likely to be the superstar player to move on in the summer transfer window.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed a stunning time at the club, with the winger constantly reaching superb heights season after season.
From his 345 Liverpool appearances, the Egypt international boasts 210 goals and 88 assists, with the attacker lifting the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup trophies with the Reds.
He has, however, suffered lately, with Salah really not looking like his usual self since sustaining a hamstring injury during the recent Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
The winger was forced into heading home early from the competition in January due to the problem, but even after making a full recovery, Salah has been in awful form ever since.
Liverpool must accept big-money offer for senior star this summer
He may boast tallies of 24 goals and 13 assists in all competitions this season, but it is becoming increasingly clear that his race is run at Anfield, with the attacker seemingly losing two yards of pace.
Salah’s recent struggles were epitomised in the shock 2-0 defeat to fierce rivals Everton on Wednesday (24 April), with the winger registering just 38 touches of the ball during his 90 minutes on the pitch, fewer than Toffees goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (42).
Moreover, the Reds star looked uninterested as he lost both of his duels (0%), while he also had three shots off target and missed one big chance.
Such displays have been far too common lately, with Liverpool now surely set to seriously consider any interest in the player this summer.
Sources told Football Insider last month that the Reds are prepared to face a huge bid from Saudi Arabia for the attacker, with the Saudi Pro League eager to make Salah a marquee signing.

Any transfer fee for the 31-year-old is likely to rise north of £100million if the Anfield club allow him to leave, with that money then certain to go towards a new star attacker for the upcoming season.
Liverpool should take the money, hand it over to Michael Edwards and the new recruitment team, and give them licence to find the next Salah.
