Liverpool players celebrated on social media after they recorded a sensational 6-1 victory against Watford on Sunday afternoon and moved to the top of the Premier League table.
Arsenal dropped down into fourth position after their 1-1 draw with Tottenham and Manchester City also dropped two points after they failed to get a victory against Middlesbrough.
Overall, it was a great weekend for the Liverpool players and they were in fantastic spirits following their 6-1 routing at Anfield on Sunday.
Giorginio Wijnaldum was left out of the starting XI as Emre Can retained his place in the side but the Dutchman came on as a late substitute to score his first goal for the club.
Summer signing Sadio Mane also enjoyed a successful afternoon after he netted two goals in each half to help send his side to the top of the table.
Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Can completed the goal-scoring list as all of Liverpool’s attacking players were in sensational form.
Loris Karius was unable to keep a clean sheet – the only negative in an otherwise great victory but he and his teammate, Simon Mignolet, were also in a celebratory mood.
Liverpool go into the international break without a loss since September and have won eight of their last nine games, with only a goalless draw against Manchester United stopping their winning streak.
