Liverpool should block Sadio Mane’s Bayern Munich move after Sky update – pundit

Liverpool should not sell Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich after rejecting their latest offer.

That’s according to former Leeds United stopper Paddy Kenny, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the german giants’ latest bid.

As per Sky Sports (8 June) Liverpool have rejected Bayern’s latest offer of around £30million for Mane, 30.

The offer included £6.5m in add-ons, which would be paid if Bayern win the Champions League three times, as well as Mane lifting three Ballon d’Or trophies.

The attacker looks set to leave Anfield this summer and the club reportedly value the Senegal international at £43million.

Kenny insists Bayern’s latest offer for Mane is “unrealistic” and claims Liverpool should risk losing him for £30million next summer.

“If that’s true, I just wouldn’t sell to them. Just for that,” Kenny told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“They are taking the Michael. If you are going to offer £30million, just offer £30million. Not all this £6.5million in silly add-ons.

“Especially when they are unrealistic and not going to happen.

“If I was Liverpool I would rather keep him and lose £30million on a free next summer.

“I don’t know how you can offer £23million or whatever it is up front.”

Liverpool

Mane is out of contract next summer, meaning Liverpool risk losing him on a free.

He joined the Reds from Southampton for a reported £34million in 2016 and has scored 120 goals for the club.
