Liverpool to hand Jurgen Klopp ‘hundreds of millions’ this summer after development – pundit
Liverpool will back Jurgen Klopp with “hundreds of millions” in the summer transfer window in a bid to make the club title challengers again.
That’s according to former Hibernian striker Tam McManus, speaking exclusively to Football Insider about the German’s future.
Liverpool fell 3-0 away at Wolves on Saturday (4 February), meaning they have lost four of their seven games across all competitions so far in 2023.

The Merseysiders are 10th in the Premier League after 20 games – 11 points adrift of a top-four finish.
Sources told Football Insider on Tuesday (7 February) that Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group will continue to back their under-fire manager no matter what.
McManus claims Liverpool’s owners will back their manager in the summer even though they are looking to sell the club.
“It would not surprise me if Klopp gets a war chest in the summer,” McManus told Football Insider‘s Ben Wild.
“The club know that this season isn’t going to end well and they can’t afford to have another season like this.
“The squad is in desperate need of a refresh, there need to be at least two midfielders who come in. Then you look at their defence and it has been well below par this season.
“There is no doubt in my mind that Klopp will get the money to spend. The fans claim that FSG don’t spend but they do, especially when they need to bolster that squad.
“They could spend hundreds of millions because they haven’t spent recently, it could easily happen.”

The Anfield club have held preliminary takeover talks with the £373billion-valued Qatar Investment Authority after FSG welcomed new investment in 2022.
Klopp is under contract until June 2026.
