Liverpool told to accept ‘really good deal’ for Sadio Mane after £33.9m news – pundit
Alan Hutton has urged Liverpool to accept a “£30million-plus” bid from Bayern Munich for Sadio Mane this summer.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Scotland international insisted the eight-figure fee would represent a “really good deal” for the 30-year-old.
As reported by German outlet Sport1 (6 June), Bayern are preparing a bid worth £33.9million after seeing their initial £25million offer rejected by the Reds.

The prospective offer is reportedly made up of an initial £29.7million payment (€35million), with a further £4.2million (€5million) in add-ons.
With Mane out of contract in 2023, Liverpool risk losing him on a free if he does not leave or sign a new deal at Anfield.
Hutton insisted banking anything north of £30million would be “decent business” for the Reds.
Discussing the potential £34.2million deal, Hutton told Football Insider’s Russell Edge: “I think that would be fair.
“Look at what the guy’s done for the club over the years that he’s been there. He’s 30 now. To get £30million-plus for the player, is decent business, I think, after all he’s done for the club as well.
“Ultimately, as well, he wants to leave. If you keep him for that last year, he runs down his contract and leaves for nothing, you’ve got an unhappy player that doesn’t want to be there.
“That doesn’t suit anybody. To be able to pull that amount of money in for somebody who’s 30-years-of-age, I think it would be a really good deal.”

As revealed by Football Insider on Thursday (9 June), Liverpool are advancing in talks to replace mane with Darwin Nunez.
The 22-year-old netted 34 goals for Benfica across all competitions during the 2021/22 season.
In other news, Football Insider can reveal Liverpool in contract talks with another Anfield star.
