Man City backed to agree Tino Livramento deal – ‘I’ve got a feeling’
Newcastle defender Tino Livramento is set to move to Man City in the future in a huge blow for Eddie Howe.
That is according to ex-Aberdeen and Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, who is predicting that Livramento will not be able to resist Pep Guardiola’s advances.
Newcastle are planning contract talks with Livramento amid Man City‘s pursuit of the England international.
Livramento has recently returned to action following injury, playing the full 90 minutes as Newcastle beat Man City 2-1 last time out in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola ‘will get’ Tino Livramento
Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness – who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs – believes Guardiola will sign Livramento at Man City next summer.
Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness does not think Newcastle will be able to keep the 23-year-old at St James’ Park.
He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “You know, he’s making all the noises about wanting to stay at Newcastle, but I just got a feeling he is going to be going to City.
“I’ve got a feeling that Pep wants him and Pep will get him. And I do feel that he’s going to be going at the end of the season.
“So, Livramento, I think, is going to be a City player. I think he suits Pep very well.
“And despite all the lovely things that everybody says about Newcastle and enjoying his time up there, I think he wants to come and play in the Champions League, etc. as well with City.”

James Trafford could leave Man City for Newcastle
Man City and Newcastle could also do business for James Trafford, with the goalkeeper currently second choice at the Etihad.
Trafford could be allowed to leave Man City for greater playing time in January, in what could be a permanent or loan deal.
The 23-year-old has started six times for Man City this season, with Gianluigi Donnarumma preferred in-between the sticks.
