
Man City could now sign Zubimendi after Liverpool decision – sources
Man City could turn attention to a deal for Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi in January, sources have told Football Insider.
The English champions are also weighing up a move for Atalanta star Ederson, 25, to replace Rodri – who is out for the season with a serious knee injury.
Football Insider revealed on Monday (11 November) that the Serie A side will have to consider a big January offer for the Man City target.
However, Zubimendi has a release clause worth around £50million at Real Sociedad and could be an easier deal to do in the mid-season window.
Ederson will not be cheap in January as Atalanta fight to keep hold of the Brazil international to further their ambitions in Serie A and the Champions League.
The 25-year-old was crucial for the Bergamo side last term as they won the Europa League – notching seven goals and one assist in 53 appearances across all competitions.

Zubimendi rejected a move to Liverpool in the most recent summer window after drawn-out negotiations but could be tempted by the chance to link up with Pep Guardiola in Manchester.
The 13-cap Spain international has been a virtual ever-present for La Real this season, notching one goal and two assists in 16 appearances in La Liga and the Europa League.
He is under contract in San Sebastian until June 2027.
