Man City fans rage at Jeremy Doku after Pep Guardiola footage drops v Wolves
Pep Guardiola was left visibly frustrated by Jeremy Doku’s performance in the Premier League clash between Man City and Wolves at Molineux.
Guardiola’s side left it late to find the winner in a 2-1 win thanks to John Stones’ 97th-minute header, after struggling to break down the resolute Wolves defence throughout.
The late goal provided relief from what would have been a frustrating result away from home after goals from Jorgen Strand Larsen and Josko Gvardiol had the score level at 1-1.
However, Jeremy Doku was the focus of fans’ anger, while the boss was also spotted showing his frustrations on the sidelines by Sky Sports’ cameras when, with the score level, his winger flashed a wild strike over the bar.
A disappointing performance saw Doku, 22, hooked off and replaced by Phil Foden after 66 minutes, after having failed to hit the target with any of his three shots and completing zero of his five attempted crosses. [Sofascore]
The Belgium international completed six of his seven attempted dribbles and had the better of his man throughout, but lacked the necessary end-product to change the game.
After losing possession 21 times, Guardiola had clearly had enough, as he fell to the bench ranting and gesturing his frustration.
It was not just Pep who was left fuming, however, with City fans venting their anger at the winger’s performance and the result.

Doku’s electric feet and ability to beat his man in possession give City a new dimension to their attack – but when he’s off form, he often leaves supporters raging.
This was another example of his inconsistencies, with the total lack of end-product making his quick feet and dribble success useless in deciding the outcome of the game.
Guardiola’s frustrations were matched by those of the travelling supporters, with many taking to social media as they labelled the winger “shocking” and “atrocious”.
