Man City news: Erling Haaland on a ‘mad one’ to ‘haunt’ Man United amid ‘disgraceful’ claim – pundit
Erling Haaland will do everything he can to “haunt” Man United while playing for Man City, according to Gabby Agbonlahor.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-Aston Villa and England attacker claimed Haaland will be on a “mad one” against United because he will not forget Roy Keane’s “disgraceful” tackle on his father.
Alf-Inge Haaland eventually had to retire with a knee injury caused by Keane in a Manchester derby in April 2001.
Erling Haaland revealed at his unveiling on Sunday (10 July) that he is most looking forward to playing Man United in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old completed his move to the Etihad from Borussia Dortmund this summer.
Asked whether he thought his comments about Man United are disrespectful, Agbonlahor told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley: “Not at all.
“First of all, they are the rivals of Man City and second of all, he won’t forget what Roy Keane did to his Dad. He won’t forget that when he played for Man United he made a disgraceful tackle on his Dad.
“He’ll want to haunt Man United for as long as he can when he’s playing in the Premier League.
“I reckon it will be a game where he does something crazy and gets a hattrick. He’ll be on a mad one to punish Man United.”

Haaland scored 61 times in 66 Bundesliga games in his two-and-a-half years at Dortmund.
The Norway international has put pen to paper on a five-year contract at Man City.
