Man City v Liverpool: ‘Critical’ Fabinho claim issued after injury news in last 24 hours – Danny Mills
Fabinho will be “critical” for Liverpool if they want to beat Man City on Sunday (10 April), according to Danny Mills.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the ex-City and England full-back claimed this weekend’s crunch clash could end goalless because of the quality of the two sides’ defences.
Fabinho, 28, went down with a head injury late on during Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Benfica on Tuesday night (5 April).

However, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo today (8 April), Jurgen Klopp revealed he had a full squad to choose form for the trip to the Etihad.
“It’s a really intriguing game,” Mills told Football Insider correspondent Connor Whitley.
“Man City will try and do what they always do. They’ve had to patch up their defence a bit but you expect that to be a bit better with Kyle Walker coming back in and Joao Cancelo going to left-back. They are two outstanding full-backs.
“On the other side, you’ve got Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz. Fabinho is critical for them in the holding role.
“It’s going to be toe-to-toe. It could be one of those games that is a thrilling 0-0. It’s going to be a fantastic game of football it’s just about whether the goals come. Even in great games goalkeepers have worldies, defenders have worldies.
“There might be half-chances and nearly moments because the defenders are equally as good as the forwards.”

Fabinho is in the best goalscoring form of his Liverpool career with five goals in his last 17 games.
That has brought his tally for the club to 10 with the first five goals coming in 142 games across all competitions.
